People immigrate to the United States both legally and illegally every day. People come from many different countries and the majority come from Mexico. Many people think that immigration from Mexico should be totally stopped. Many think that it should be limited. Many people think that there should be a guest worker program. Some believe that Mexican immigrants are a boon to the U.S. economy while others think that they are a drain on social services. Why are these opinions so diverse? What are the facts? How does immigration affect both the United States and Mexico? Through this unit, we will find answers to these questions.
