The environment must accommodate different learning needs and must tackle student weaknesses and strengths. To make a DLC more attractive and welcoming for students and teachers, the environment must include technology, pedagogy, and meaningful activities for students. Real life projects that will help students in the future are good examples of an ideal digital community.
